New creation
In plain words
God's promise to make you new now and to make the whole world new in the end.
The Bible's story does not end with souls floating on clouds. It ends with God making everything new: a new heaven and a new earth, where there is no more crying, pain or death (Revelation 21:1-5). That new life has already started. Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new creation now (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Paul says creation itself is groaning and waiting to be set free from decay (Romans 8:19-21). God is not throwing the world away. He is renewing it. A common idea is that the goal is to escape the body and the earth. The Bible's hope is resurrection bodies on a renewed earth, with God living among His people (2 Peter 3:13).
This gives weight to what you do now. Kindness, honest work, care for creation and every small act of love matter, because God is not scrapping His world. When you fail, remember you are new in Christ. The old you is not your real name any more.

Isaiah already promised new heavens and a new earth (Isaiah 65:17). Paul's phrase kaine ktisis, new creation, links personal conversion to this cosmic renewal: the future has broken into the present through Jesus' resurrection, the firstfruits of the new world. Revelation pictures the holy city coming down, heaven and earth joined.
Christians differ on how much of the present world will continue. Some stress a world purified and renewed, others a more complete remaking after the old passes away. Both agree the final hope is not a disembodied heaven but a bodily resurrection life with God in a world free from sin, death and evil.
My verses
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. ‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,’ and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.” And the One seated on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are faithful and true.”
The creation waits in eager expectation for the revelation of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not by its own will, but because of the One who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
For behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.
But in keeping with God’s promise, we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
