Union with Christ
In plain words
When you trust Jesus, you are joined to Him, and what is His becomes yours.
Being a Christian is not only believing facts about Jesus. It is being joined to Him. The Bible keeps using two small words for this: in Christ. Like a branch joined to a vine, your life is now connected to His. His death counts as yours, His life flows into you, and God sees you in Him.

Paul says we were baptised into Christ's death and raised to walk in new life (Romans 6:3-5), and that Christ lives in him (Galatians 2:20). Jesus says remain in me, and you will bear much fruit (John 15:4-5). A misunderstanding is that union depends on how close you feel to God today. It does not. It is a fact God made true.
This changes how you fight sin and how you face hard days. You are not trying to become someone new by willpower. You are learning to live out who you already are in Him (Colossians 3:1-3). Spend time with Him, stay connected to His people, and let His life shape yours.

The Greek phrase en Christo, in Christ, and its relatives appear well over a hundred times in Paul's letters. Ephesians 1:3-4 says every spiritual blessing is ours in Christ. The picture develops from the vine of Israel in the Old Testament to Jesus as the true vine, and from the body and the bride to the temple built of living stones.
Many theologians see union with Christ as the setting for all of salvation: justification, adoption, sanctification and glorification all come to us in Him. Traditions describe it with different emphases, some stressing its legal side, some its sharing in Christ's life, and the Orthodox speaking of sharing in the divine nature. All agree it is real, personal and the Spirit's work, never a merging into God.
My verses
Or aren’t you aware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with Him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection.
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence. In love
Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
