Being saved
Can God forgive what I've done? Does He still love me?
Short answer
Yes. No sin is bigger than the cross. If you come to Jesus honestly, He forgives completely, and His love for you has not changed.
Maybe you carry something you've never told anyone, and think God can't really love you after what you did. That is shame talking, not God.
Look who God forgave. David committed adultery and arranged a murder. Paul hunted Christians, then called himself the worst of sinners and said God showed him mercy to prove how patient He is. Peter swore he didn't know Jesus. All three were forgiven and used by God.
If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. All, not most. You may still need to make things right with someone, but your standing with God is settled the moment you come.
Tell God plainly what you did. Then read Psalm 103:10-12 out loud, and believe it.
My verses
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
This is a trustworthy saying, worthy of full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst. But for this very reason I was shown mercy, so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His perfect patience as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life.
He has not dealt with us according to our sins or repaid us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His loving devotion for those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are as red as crimson, they will become like wool.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
