Short answer

Please talk to someone right now. Call a crisis line or tell a person near you. You matter, and this pain can be helped.

Please reach out to a real person right now. Call one of the crisis numbers on this page, or tell someone near you. If you are in danger, call emergency services. You don't need the right words. Just say: I'm not safe.

What you feel is real and heavy. But pain this deep lies about the future. It says nothing will ever change. That is not true. People who felt exactly like you have found their way through, with help.

You are not a burden. God made you, knows you by name and loves you deeply. Elijah wished he could die, and God stayed close and gently cared for him.

Right now, stay with someone or call someone. Put anything you could hurt yourself with out of reach. Just get through the next hour. You are worth it.

My verses

The LORD is near to the brokenhearted; He saves the contrite in spirit.

Now this is what the LORD says— He who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine!

While he himself traveled on a day’s journey into the wilderness. He sat down under a broom tree and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, LORD,” he said. “Take my life, for I am no better than my fathers.” Then he lay down under the broom tree and fell asleep. Suddenly an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.” And he looked around, and there by his head was a cake of bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank and lay down again. A second time the angel of the LORD returned and touched him, saying, “Get up and eat, or the journey will be too much for you.” So he got up and ate and drank. And strengthened by that food, he walked forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.
